M-PESA South Africa

Vodacom relaunched M-Pesa in South Africa in August 2014, a redesign of their initial unsuccessful launch in Sept 2010. The services was revamped to address the key areas of distribution, registration, functionality and loyalty.

To register for m-pesa, you must be a South African citizen on the Vodacom network and be at least 16 years old

Customers register by dialling *111#, following on-screen instructions, getting a welcome SMS and setting up their PIN.
